Multiskilled printmaker Colin Blanchard created his own personal wildlife alphabet using black & white linocuts and based on British mammals, reptiles, fish, invertebrates and amphibians. To make his life difficult, he excluded birds. Some of the choices may surprise, and the alphabet itself is something of a puzzle. Each animal is accompanied by the artist's popular but quirky verse. Tiny but perfectly formed linocuts reproduced at full size in a tiny hardback book made entirely in the UK.
